We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed our search for an Executive Director. We are excited to welcome John Kurdelak to this new position at Trinity Academy. In this role, John will provide leadership in all aspects of the school pertaining to advancement and business affairs.
John, an Indiana native, completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Notre Dame. Since 2000, he has worked at Trinity School at Greenlawn in South Bend, Indiana. John has been a faculty member, teaching humanities, religion, and drama classes; he has worked in master teaching and curricular development; and he built the school's college guidance program. He currently serves as Senior Director of Advancement.
Since 2011, John has led the Trinity School at Greenlawn's fundraising efforts, securing nearly $3 million to support scholarships, capital projects, and operational needs. He has also done extensive work in communications, community relations, and government relations for the school.
John and his wife Claire have seven children, three of whom will attend Trinity Academy in the upcoming school year. Claire devotes much of her time and energy to homeschooling the kids until they're old enough to attend Trinity. John and Claire are both avid singers who have appeared regularly at Notre Dame and throughout the South Bend region.
The Kurdelak family will relocate to Portland in August and look forward to meeting the Trinity Academy community and jumping in to life here.
This is a big and exciting step for Trinity Academy, to gain leadership and expertise in the areas of advancement and development as we continue to grow and flourish.
