On a Tuesday afternoon three weeks ago, I walked into a classroom full of rowdy sixth graders. 'I'm Mr. Tomassi, and we're going to be studying Life Science,' I told them. For the fourth time that day, I nearly introduced myself as ‘Patrick.’ It was my first day on that side of the classroom. I studied engineering in college, and never student-taught, and I was hired only a week before classes started.
Trinity Academy has relocated into new North Portland facilities on 7424 N Mississippi Avenue near its previous location. This new location enables the school to increase enrollment while continuing a central urban presence.
Trinity Academy has developed an excellent sixth grade curriculum and will open a sixth grade class beginning with the 2014/2015 academic year.

Cynicism is the great deception of our age says Paul Miller in his excellent book "A Praying Life." It offers the illusion of an enlightened mind that is suspicious of all appearances of sincerity and goodness because they are merely appearances. At Trinity Academy we are not naive to the effects of human weakness on our ability to do good but we are confident that excellence of character is possible and we should celebrate it when we see it.
